Job title: Farm Events Host

Position overview

Working as a farm events host you will ensure that our visitors have a fun-filled learning experience at our country park. You will need to deliver activities around the farm in a fun, exciting and knowledgeable manner. Working with some of the animals can be demanding so you will also need to be caring, passionate and have some knowledge of working with a variety of animals. You must keep a positive attitude at all times going the extra mile to maintain the happiness of our visitors as well as your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Our main priority is customer service and care. You must always wear a smile and have a friendly approachable demeanour. Keen to help any customer.
• You will make sure that all customers feel welcome and comfortable so they have an enjoyable day and are highly satisfied with their experience
• Assisting guests with a positive and friendly attitude
• You must have an outgoing personality and be willing to present to small and large groups of people stories and facts about the animals
• You must have a smart and tidy appearance and follow our uniform policy at all times

Role responsibilities

• You will work closely with the events and farm team and must be a team player with an enthusiastic can-do attitude
• You must be comfortable working with a range of animals and some knowledge and experience of farm animals would be an advantage
• Ensure a high level of animal welfare for all animals
• Ensure a high level of welfare for guests who are interacting with the animals
• You must ensure that the area you are working in is kept clean and tidy at all times
• You must be reliable, flexible and willing to help out in all areas of the business as required

Health and Safety

• Working with animals carries many hazards and diseases; you must be fully aware of these and able to ensure that our guests are safe at all time
• Attend any health and safety training
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Hours of Work

This is a seasonal position with flexible hours and you must be prepared to work weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. This can also be a short term position if you are only interested in working school holidays
